TEESSIDE UNIVERSITY

Based in Middlesbrough at the heart of the Tees Valley, we are an ambitious and enterprising university for a focused and pragmatic global new generation. We provide real opportunities and support to realise potential on a campus fit for the future and around the world.

From developing outstanding degree apprenticeships tailored to industry to addressing societal challenges on a global scale, our work is always relevant and purpose-driven. We value education and research which is innovative, creative and supports the development of solutions to real world challenges.

Our courses are designed, with the help of students and employers, to blend theory with practice. We offer an extensive portfolio of courses across undergraduate, postgraduate, degree apprenticeship and online learning provision.

Our students are at the heart of everything we do. They are determined, entrepreneurial, focused and pragmatic. They graduate from Teesside University as global citizens, driven by a social conscience and equipped with the skills and knowledge to make a difference.

Middlesbrough is within easy access to the rest of the country with London, Edinburgh and Manchester an easy two and a half hour train journey away and Newcastle, York and the Lake District all within an hour’s drive.

Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art (MIMA) is our international Plus TATE gallery and part of Teesside University. We view art as a tool for changing the world around us. Drop by to see how we’re influencing society, taking a leading role in addressing current issues within politics, economics and culture such as housing, migration, inequality, regeneration and healthcare.
